Update the current organization
curl -X PATCH "https://api.summerbase.com/v1/organization" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer sb_..." \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "name": "Acme Analytics" }'const response = await fetch("https://api.summerbase.com/v1/organization", { method: "PATCH", headers: { Authorization: "Bearer sb_...", "Content-Type": "application/json", }, body: JSON.stringify({ "name": "Acme Analytics" }),})const data = await response.json()Rename the organization, or move its slug.
Renaming does not move the slug: the two are separate, and a slug is an
address. Moving it changes every URL the organization is reachable at, and
the old one stops resolving immediately — anything that stored it, a
bookmark or a script sending Summerbase-Organization, breaks. Nothing
reserves the slug you leave behind.
Request Body
Section titled “Request Body”object
The company’s name, as it appears throughout Summerbase.
How the organization is addressed in a readable URL — the acme in
app.summerbase.com/organizations/acme, and in its projects’
app.summerbase.com/projects/production@acme. Lowercase letters, digits,
hyphens and underscores, and never shaped like an id.
Unique across every Summerbase organization, and derived from the name when you do not choose one. Changing it is allowed and breaks every address that used the old one.
Example
{ "name": "Acme Analytics"}Response
Section titled “Response”Returns the organization object.
