Rate limits
An organization’s API keys share one allowance, and people signed in to Summerbase have another, so an integration’s limits do not depend on who is using the app:
- 50 requests a second, any request, refilling continuously.
- 300 analytics requests a minute, on top of the 50 a second. An
analytics request is one that computes from the revenue history — the
metrics, the customers behind a value, customer searches and revenue
movements — and its operation says so with
x-analytics-request. - 20 analytics requests running at once.
Every response counted says where it stands: RateLimit-Limit,
RateLimit-Remaining, and RateLimit-Reset, the seconds until the
allowance is whole again. A request over a limit is answered 429 with
Retry-After in seconds and an error whose code names the limit:
requests_per_second, analytics_requests_per_minute or
concurrent_analytics_requests. Nothing was done, so the request can be
sent again once that time has passed.
