Quickstart
1. Sign up
Section titled “1. Sign up”Create your account at app.summerbase.com/sign-up with your work email, or with Google. If a colleague invited you, use the link in their invitation instead.
You’ll name your company and choose where its data is stored: the European Union or the United States. You can’t change this later.
Signing up creates your organization and its first project. Your data and figures live in the project.
2. Connect a source
Section titled “2. Connect a source”Summerbase reads your customers and subscriptions from your billing system. In your project, go to Settings, then Sources, and choose Add source.
Find your billing system under Sources. Today that’s:
- Stripe, connected with a read-only key.
- A custom source, for any other billing system, which you send data to from your own code.
3. Wait for your history to import
Section titled “3. Wait for your history to import”Summerbase imports your existing customers and their history, so your figures go back as far as your billing records do. A banner shows the progress. Your figures are incomplete until it finishes.
4. Look at your numbers
Section titled “4. Look at your numbers”Your project opens on the Dashboard: MRR, how it moved last month, paying customers, ARPA, churn and retention. Click any tile to open its report, then click any figure to see the customers behind it.
5. Check your settings
Section titled “5. Check your settings”In Settings, then Metrics, make sure the currency and timezone are the ones you report in. See Metrics settings.
- Invite your colleagues.
- See what each figure means in the metrics glossary.
