Organizations and projects
Organizations
Section titled “Organizations”An organization is your company. It holds the people who can sign in and what each of them may do, and every project belongs to one. Billing is per organization.
Signing up creates your organization, with you as its owner. Its data is stored in the region you chose at sign-up, the European Union or the United States, and stays there.
You’d create another organization for a separate company with its own people and its own billing, such as a second business you run. You can belong to several and switch between them, and you create a new one from your account’s Organizations page.
Projects
Section titled “Projects”A project holds your data and figures: its own sources, customers, reports, settings and API keys. Nothing is shared between projects, and no figure adds two projects together.
Every organization starts with one project, and most companies never need another. You’d create another project when you want figures kept apart, for example:
- A test project connected to your billing system’s test mode, so test customers stay out of your real numbers.
- A separate product whose revenue you never want mixed with your main one.
Admins and the owner can create projects.
Projects and organizations can’t be deleted.
