Shared views

A shared view puts a few of your reports at a link, for investors, your colleagues, a screen in the office, or the world. Anyone with the link sees those reports, live, without signing in.

Admins and the owner can create shared views, in two ways:

  • In Settings, then Shared views, choose New shared view.
  • From a report, open its settings and choose Share.

On the view’s page, choose its reports, up to 50, and the order to show them in. Give it a title for visitors, then choose Publish. Unpublish takes it offline again.

Visitors see each report as you saved it, with up-to-date figures, and can change the date range. They can’t change filters or breakdowns, and can’t see which customers are behind a figure. Nothing else in your project is visible.

When you save a change to a report that’s in a view, visitors see the change straight away.

A new view gets a secret link: long and random, so only the people you send it to can find it. You can choose a short custom link instead, such as yourcompany.summerbase.io/metrics, but anyone could guess that one.

Changing a view’s link, or your organization’s slug, breaks the old link for everyone you gave it to.
