Customers

Customers lists everyone your sources have told Summerbase about. You can search by name or email, filter, sort, and choose which columns to show.

A customer’s page shows their subscriptions, how their revenue changed over time, and what each source knows about them.

Customers come from your sources, so you change them there, not in Summerbase. If several sources know the same customer, Summerbase shows them as one: see How your data fits together.

Status Meaning
Paying Has an active subscription worth more than zero.
Free Has an active subscription worth nothing, such as a free plan.
Trialing Is in a trial, or has signed up for your product without subscribing.
Churned Had a subscription before, and has none now.
Lead Known to Summerbase, but hasn’t signed up or subscribed.

Summerbase counts changes made within a few days of each other as one, so a plan fixed the day after a sale, or a cancellation undone two days later, doesn’t show up as churn. When one customer’s history needs more than that, you can collapse their movements by hand from their page. See Collapsing run rate movements.
